I'm a producer, vocalist, songwriter and mixing engineer. It started when I was 14 or 15, in a tiny bedroom, with a USB Guitar Hero microphone, Audacity and a broken laptop on my nightstand. I wanted to rap, and I had no gear and no money for a studio. So I built my own.
My friends and I all rapped together, and none of us could afford studio time. My mom made it happen with a recording studio bundle for Christmas. I had no idea how to record or mix, and I barely knew how to install the software, but I learned by doing. Before long I was recording friends, and then people from other towns, out of my bedroom.
I turned my closet into a vocal booth, built myself a new desk, and taught myself to produce, mix, write, perform and coach. Somebody had to turn the knobs, and it happened to be me.
Today I sing and perform my own music, write songs, produce beats and mix for other artists. I never imagined it would become a career. What I'm most admired for is my ear and musical taste, my sound selection and tone, my songwriting, my flow and cadence choices, and my creativity. The skills, resources and knowledge I picked up along the way have opened doors I never saw coming.
I also co-lead the Elite Engineering Community, formerly Wavy Seals Elite, alongside its founder, Wavy Wayne.
